Privacy
Last updated: November 2026
This page explains what data Khutba Now handles, where and for how long: in the Khutba Now app, and on this website.
Audio
The khateeb’s voice is never recorded or stored. It is streamed for speech recognition only.
Where processing happens
Khutba Now runs in the cloud, within the European Union. Speech recognition, translation and storage all happen there.
Translation is done by large AI models from established providers, choosing those best suited to the task. The models may change as better ones appear.
What is stored
The Arabic text of each line of a speech, and its translations, kept within the European Union.
There is no fixed retention period yet. One will be set, and published here, before more organisations join.
Accounts
Only administrators and speakers have accounts, by invitation; there is no public sign-up. Each account holds an email address, a name, a role and the organisation it belongs to.
Worshippers
Worshippers need no account and no login, and give no personal data. A venue’s link names a room, never a person.
The page remembers the chosen language, text size and theme on the phone itself, in the browser’s storage.
The translation provider
Khutba Now keeps no log of the text it sends for translation, or of the translations that come back. The AI service’s logging of these requests is switched off.
This website
khutba.now uses no cookies, no analytics and no forms, and stores nothing in your browser.
The site is hosted in the cloud. Like most hosting, the host keeps a log of the requests that reach it, such as the page asked for, the time, and the IP address the request came from. The log can’t be switched off, and is kept for as long as the site is hosted there. It is used only to keep the site running and secure.
